Hiden is pleased to announce they recently exhibited the CATLAB-PCS Microreactor System for Catalyst Characterisation & QGA Atmospheric Gas Analysis System at ARABLAB 2015, 23rd – 26th March, Dubai UAE.
The Hiden Catlab PCS combined microreactor and mass spectrometer system is purpose designed for the characterisation and evaluation of catalysts together with general thermal studies including temperature programmed desorption and reaction testing. The modular benchtop system features an advanced fast-response low thermal mass 1000oC furnace together with multistream gas flow control of up to eight gas streams, and a precision Hiden quadrupole mass spectrometer with quartz inert sampling line close-coupled directly to the reactor for minimised dead volume and sample memory. Sample is inserted via the novel Catalyst Cartridge System to ensure consistent and reproducible sample loading, an in-bed thermocouple providing precise measurement of sample temperature and reaction exotherms.

Hiden featured their latest QGA system for direct real time analysis, quantification and control of gas related processes ranging in pressure from 100 mbar to 50 bar.
The bench-top mass spectrometer system is coupled to the user process by the integral robust, flexible, quartz-lined heated capillary with sample consumption rates as low as 1 mL/min and response times as low as 150 milliseconds. Process interface options enable analyses through the very broad pressure regime and are suited to diverse application areas including top-gas analysis, measurement of dissolved species, multi-stream monitoring of gas feed and process exhaust lines (up to 80 individual gas streams), process/thermal reaction studies, respiratory analysis.
