Hiden Wrapped 2025: Year in Review
As 2025 draws to a close, we want to thank our customers, partners and colleagues for another busy, productive year. Together, we’ve continued to push what’s possible in vacuum, gas, plasma and surface analysis – from new accessories and application developments to a strong presence at key conferences around the world.
This Hiden Wrapped brings together some of the highlights from the past twelve months and offers a snapshot of how we’re working with you – and where we’re heading in 2026.
Global Conferences: Taking Hiden on the Road
In 2025, Hiden Analytical joined over 65 conferences and exhibitions across multiple continents. From Europe to Asia and beyond, our team has been on the road meeting users face-to-face, showcasing the latest developments and discussing real-time gas analysis challenges in person.
A key highlight was our participation in Carbon Capture Expo in Germany, where we focused on CCS/CCUS applications and the role of high-sensitivity gas analysis in emission monitoring and process optimisation.
Product Launches: EP-Replayer & ECL Series
This year we expanded the Hiden portfolio with two important launches.
- EP-Replayer provides a smarter way for IMP-EPD users to replay previous etch data, refine end point “recipes” and reduce wafer consumption. By enabling real-world process data to be interrogated and optimised, it supports tighter control and improved stability in thin film processes.
- The ECL Series introduces a new toolkit of electrochemical accessories for the HPR-40 DEMS, enabling real-time electrochemical gas analysis with greater flexibility and control. These accessories support applications such as battery and fuel cell research, where understanding gaseous products is essential.
Together, these launches reflect our focus on helping users extract more value from their data and extend what’s possible with Hiden mass spectrometry.
Customer Story Spotlight: Fusion & Advanced Applications
Across 2025, Hiden instruments have supported projects in catalysis, space science, fusion energy and more. One standout example comes from fusion research, where palladium–silver membranes have been combined with our HPR-20 R&D gas analysis system to support hydrogen isotope control within fusion fuel cycles.
This work illustrates how high-sensitivity, real-time gas analysis underpins the development of next-generation energy technologies and demonstrates the role of Hiden systems in demanding experimental environments. It sits alongside many other customer stories that show how our instruments are used in real-world applications across industry and academia.
Knowledge Hub: In Conversation & Technical Articles
A major theme for 2025 has been making our application knowledge easier to access and apply. To support this, we launched our new In Conversation series – a Q&A format designed to share practical insight directly from Hiden specialists.
The first episode, “In Conversation: The HPR-40 DEMS ECL-Series”, explores real-time electrochemical gas analysis and how the ECL accessories support battery and fuel cell studies, from dissolved gas analysis to off-gas monitoring.
Alongside In Conversation, we have continued to publish blogs and technical articles that dive deeper into Hiden application areas, including gas analysis, plasma processes, thin film end-point detection and electrochemistry. More In Conversation episodes and application-led content are planned for 2026.
Social Shake-Up: Short-Form Content & Record Engagement
In 2025 we refreshed our social media activity to better match how our audience consumes information. We launched our TikTok page to share fast, bite-sized technical insights that complement our longer-form content.
At the same time, we recorded our strongest LinkedIn performance to date. These channels have become an important way for us to highlight new developments and stay connected with researchers and engineers worldwide.
Supporting Institutes and Industrial Labs Worldwide
Beyond exhibitions and online activity, 2025 has been a year of close collaboration with institutes and industrial partners across multiple continents.
Hiden Analytical solutions have supported:
- Advanced research in areas such as catalysis, materials science, electrochemistry, batteries and fusion.
- Process development and control in thin film deposition, vacuum processing, plasma applications and environmental analysis.
Our gas, vacuum, plasma and surface analysis instruments continue to help users tackle complex measurement challenges – from ultra-low-level species detection to real-time process monitoring.
Looking Ahead to 2026
None of this would be possible without the continued support and collaboration of our customers, partners and colleagues around the world. As we move into 2026, we’re focused on:
- Further innovation in products and accessories.
- Expanding our application support, training and knowledge resources.
- Continuing to be present at the events and in the research areas that matter most to you.
Thank you for being part of our 2025. We look forward to working with you in 2026 as we develop new solutions, applications and insights across all Hiden Analytical technologies.
