CATLAB software for CATLAB-PCS

Thermal Analysis Software
Application-specific software for CATLAB-PCS data acquisition, experiment control, mass spectrometry analysis and reaction evaluation. CATLAB software controls MS acquisition alongside key CATLAB-PCS system components, including MFCs, furnace temperature, switching valves and pulse injection.
The updated software supports improved experiment setup, user-controlled experiment progress, template-driven experiment recipes and real-time quantitative output for catalyst characterisation and thermal analysis workflows.
Applications
CATLAB software is developed for use with the Hiden CATLAB-PCS system, providing integrated control of mass spectrometer data acquisition and key experimental hardware, including MFCs, furnace temperature control, switching valves and pulse injection.
The latest version has been updated to improve the CATLAB-PCS software environment for catalyst characterisation, reaction studies and thermal analysis workflows. The update introduces a redesigned user interface, improved experiment setup, enhanced data display and more advanced mass spectrometry analysis.
A key feature is improved mass spectral overlap handling. In catalysis and reaction studies, multiple gas species can contribute to overlapping mass signals, making interpretation more complex. The updated CATLAB software supports advanced overlap removal for multiple overlapping species, helping researchers evaluate complex reaction gas mixtures with greater confidence.
The software also introduces real-time quantification, enabling quantitative output in ppm or percent for reaction evaluation. This provides clearer insight into gas composition and reaction progress during CATLAB-PCS experiments.
Experiments can be controlled directly by the user or configured using template-driven experiment recipes. This supports both flexible method development and more structured repeat workflows, depending on the requirements of the experiment.
The updated CATLAB software also includes improved furnace PID control, helping support reliable temperature management during temperature-programmed catalyst studies, reaction experiments and thermal analysis methods.
