For gas reaction kinetic chemistry of atmospheric pollutants

Hiden’s gas analysers provide detailed information directly relating to the gas reaction kinetic chemistry of atmospheric pollutants.

Overview

A variety of air pollutants can have harmful effects on human health and the environment. In most urban areas these pollutants are often the products of combustion from space heating, power generation or from motor vehicle traffic. Pollutants from these sources can be a problem in the immediate vicinity of these sources, and they can travel long distances, chemically reacting in the atmosphere to produce secondary pollutants such as acid rain or ozone.

Hiden gas analysers are available with specialized inlet systems to enable the study neutrals and radicals at atmospheric pressure either directly, or from simulation experiment studies.
