For continuous analysis of evolved gases and vapours in electrochemistry

The Hiden HPR-20 for OEMS is a gas analysis system configured for continuous analysis of evolved gases and vapours for analysis of evolved gases in electrochemistry as a function of the applied potential on the real-time scale.

Overview

The ultralow flow real time sampling capillary allows for connection for head space sampling and/or connection to electrochemical cells, El-Cell for example.

The Hiden QIC-ulf quartz-lined ultra low flow sampling interface operating at up to 200°C provides fast response times of less than 3 seconds for most common gases and vapours, including water vapour.

The standard system with 200 amu mass range has a detection capability to less than 100 parts-per-billion. The optional 3F series 300 amu system with triple-stage mass filter offers extended detection levels to 5 parts-per-billion together with enhanced contamination resistance and is recommended for applications requiring optimum abundance sensitivity and/or analyses of corrosive or condensable species.

Novel DEMS Cell | DEMS

A novel differential electrochemical mass spectrometry (DEMS) cell for integration with the Hiden Analytical HPR-40 DSA membrane inlet mass spectrometer systems. The new cell, developed by Ezra L. Clark and Prof. Alexis T. Bell of The University of California, Berkeley Lab, coupled with Hiden’s differentially pumped mass spectrometer system provides for in-situ mass resolved determination of gaseous or volatile electrochemical reaction intermediates and products in real-time.

The system is supplied with MASsoft Professional Edition software.

This Windows 10 and Windows 11 compatible software allows control of the instrument via USB 2.0, RS232 or Ethernet. Provides comprehensive I/O for data output and for reading data from external devices for integration and display with mass spectrometer data.
