We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Graham Cooke from Hiden Analytical will be a featured speaker at the upcoming EFDS Workshop on Thin Film Technologies and Future Applications of 2.5D Materials. The event will be held 9th-10th April in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

This prestigious event, set to convene experts and innovators from across the Eindhoven – Germany – Western Europe region, focuses on the cutting-edge developments in thin-film technologies and their burgeoning applications, particularly in the realm of energy.

For the first time, the workshop will delve into the commercial realization of (flexible) PV applications via a Roll-2-Roll process, marking a significant milestone in the practical deployment of thin-film technologies. Furthermore, it will explore the evolution of these applications towards the creation of 2.5D structures, a development with profound implications for energy storage solutions including electrochemical storage (batteries) and hydrogen storage modalities.

Dr. Cooke’s session, scheduled for April 9th at 16:35, is aptly titled “Maximising Information When Sputter Depth Profiling Thin Films – Collecting Positive, Negative, and Neutral Particles Simultaneously.” This presentation promises to offer invaluable insights into the intricate process of sputter depth profiling, a technique critical for the analysis and development of thin films. By focusing on the simultaneous collection of positive, negative, and neutral particles, Dr. Cooke will highlight advancements that significantly enhance our understanding and manipulation of thin films for various applications.

We invite all interested parties to join us at this important workshop for a stimulating exchange of ideas and to explore the future directions of thin-film technologies and 2.5D materials. It is a fantastic platform for professionals to network, learn from leading experts, and gain insights into the latest trends and innovations shaping the landscape of material science and energy applications.
