In a significant stride towards advancing electrochemical research in the Philippines, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of the University of the Philippines has recently procured and installed the HPR-40 DEMS from Hiden Analytical.

Jim Melling of Hiden Analytical took the journey to complete the installation and commissioning. Thanks is extended to ALVTechnologies Philippines Inc., who supported the visit and are providing local support for the system going forward.

With this state-of-the-art tool in their arsenal, the laboratory of electrochemical engineering is poised to delve deeper into the development and characterization of innovative electrocatalysts for fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries.

With tools like the HPR-40 DEMS in place, the future of electrochemical research in the Philippines, particularly at the University of the Philippines, looks brighter than ever. It’s an exciting time for both researchers and industry specialists, and we eagerly await the innovations that will stem from this collaboration.
